University of Hawaii at Hilo Campus Updates
UNIVERSITY OF HAWAIʻI AT HILO COVID-19 GUIDELINES (INTERIM)
University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo (UH Hilo) has prepared these guidelines to build upon those issued by the University of Hawaiʻi System and offer guidance specific to our campus. Our goal is to continue to provide engaging and meaningful learning opportunities for our students and to continue our rich array of applied research activities while at the same time limiting the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). (Updated August 12, 2020)
Building Access On Campus
While the campus will remain closed to the general public, nearly all operations have returned to normal business hours, 7:45am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. Some services remain closed in the interest of personal safety.
University of Hawaii System Updates
The University of Hawaiʻi 10 campus system is deploying a COVID-19-aware approach to providing a safer, high-quality education for new and returning students, faculty and support staff.
Spring 2021 Similar to Fall 2020, Next Fall Looks Promising
Instruction at the University of Hawaiʻi 10-campus system will continue to be primarily online for the spring 2021 semester due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. UH moved the 2020 fall semester almost entirely online in early August after a surge in COVID-19 cases in the State of Hawaiʻi. The spring 2020 semester went abruptly online in March at the outset of the pandemic. Students have already begun registering for the spring semester, which begins on January 11.
